Addressing the nation on India’s 68th Independence Day, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi urged the industry, especially the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of India, to manufacture goods in the country with “zero defects” and to ensure that the goods have “zero effect” on the environment.

ZED Certification

  • Promote Quality Manufacturing: Encourage MSMEs to adopt quality standards and best practices in manufacturing, reducing rejections and recalls.
  • Sustainability Focus: Advocate for practices that minimize negative environmental impact (Zero Effect), aligning with global sustainability goals.

BHADO’s Role as an Authorised Organising Partner

  • Conducting awareness campaigns and orientation sessions.
  • Providing technical handholding and documentation support for assessments.
  • Facilitating self-assessment and third-party evaluations.
  • Liaising between MSMEs and government agencies for smoother implementation.

Certification Levels

Bronze Level

Indicates basic compliance with quality and environmental standards.

Silver Level

Shows intermediate performance with consistent quality assurance and sustainable practices.

Gold Level

Reflects advanced systems and processes ensuring high efficiency, low waste, and global standard compliance.

Candidate Eligibility and Scope

  • Open to all registered MSMEs across India.
  • Applicable across various sectors such as manufacturing, service, textile, food processing, and more.

Step-by-Step Registration Process for ZED Facilitator Exam

1. Provide Your Details to the Organizing Partner
You will share your personal and academic details with the organizing partner, who will complete your registration on the ZED Training Portal.
Details to be provided:

  • Full Name
  • Email ID
  • Mobile Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Educational Qualification

2. Submit Required Documents to Organizing Partner
Provide scanned copies (PDF/JPG/PNG) of the following documents:

  • Passport-size digital photo (under 500KB)
  • Valid ID proof (PAN Card)
  • Aadhar Card
  • Graduation certificate (max size: 2MB)

3. Organizing Partner Completes Your Registration
The organizing partner will register you as a ZED Facilitator candidate on the portal.
You will receive a confirmation email after successful submission of your application.

4. Await Confirmation from client
Wait for approval or feedback from the client.
You’ll receive an email indicating:

  • Approval, or
  • Required corrections (which the partner will assist in resubmitting)

5. Register for Training Session
Once approved, the organizing partner will help you choose a convenient online training session.
If your application is rejected, the partner will re-register your profile after making the necessary corrections.

6. Attend Training & Take Examination
Participate in the online training session.
After training, you will take an MCQ-based online examination.
The exam consists of 50 questions.

Note: If you fail the exam, you can reappear up to 3 attempts, each with a 24-hour gap.

7. Receive Certificate
Upon passing the exam, you will receive the ZED Facilitator Training Certificate digitally.

8. Submit Certificate to Organizing Partner
Send your certificate to your organizing partner to complete the onboarding process as a certified ZED Facilitator.

Notes

  • Training Fee: Free of cost
  • Minimum Qualification: Graduation with relevant industry/audit/training/consulting experience
  • Language: Basic English proficiency required
